Control unit for the temperature flap: removing and fitting > < Removing

–  Lock the notched wheels of the control unit.
To do so, the notched wheels should turn so that the marks -arrows- match.
–  In this position, insert an M6 bolt -2- in the opening of the lower notched wheel and the casing.

–  Lower the lever of the flap for the floor compartment nozzle -1--arrow- (flap closed).
–  Lower the lever of the flap for the instrument panel nozzle -2- arrow (flap closed).
–  Place the lever of the demister flap -3- so that the demister flap is completely open.
–  Insert the locked control unit -5- at an angle into the 3 openings in the casing.
–  Place the control unit close to the casing so that lever rods -1- and -2- fit with the corresponding giudes in the control unit -5-.
–  Insert the support rods -3- in the corresponding openings of the control unit -5-.
  Note
The lever rod is also visible in the assembly -1- from the outside through a view hole in the lower notched wheel of the control unit.
–  Fit the control unit -5- into place.
–  Unscrew bolt -4-.
–  Check the working of the control unit -5-.
All the flaps should move easily and without tugging until reaching their final position.
The control unit does not have a maximum position. It should be possible to turn it several times in the same direction.
The flap control does not operate correctly:
–  Dismount the control unit and repeat the assembly process as described above.
The flap control operates correctly:
–  Bolt down the control unit (Nm).
