t  Fuel lines are secured with spring-type clips; these spring-type clips must always be renewed with screw-type clips.
t  Start vehicle engine if fuel tank was empty. Then start the supplementary heater several times until the heater does not switch off by itself.
t  The arrows in the illustration indicate the fuel flow direction.
t  Observe the rules for cleanliness when doing all work on the fuel supply system → Chapter.
   
1 - Quick-release coupling of fuel line
q   In engine compartment on right.
2 - Quick-release coupling of fuel line
q   On auxiliary heater Thermo Top V
3 - Auxiliary heater Thermo Top V
4 - Metering pump -V54-
q   The metering pump -V54- is located on the fuel tank.
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Check the fuel delivery rate: → Chapter
5 - Quick-release coupling of fuel line
q   At metering pump -V54-
6 - Fuel line to metering pump -V54-
7 - Fuel delivery unit
q   With fuel level indicator sender -G-
q   removing and fitting → Rep. gr.20
