Gear change actuation: adjusting > < Removing
Fitting
Fitting
   
–  Pass the control bar -A- over the steering box / engine unit (in the -direction of the arrow-).
–  Pass the cable over the stabiliser bar and place in its housing in the group holder.
–  Pull back the protection cover, turning it in such a way that the control bar is not forced, and leave on the vehicle floor.
–  Screw the protection cover to the bodywork.

–  Insert the control bar in the retainer of the guide of the gear lever -arrow 1-.
–  Do not tighten the clamp yet.
–  Change the bushing of the cable located between the gear change actuation device and the gearbox (-arrow 3-).
–  Embed the cable, located between the gear change actuation device and the gearbox, in its housing in the group holder
–  -arrow 2-, and fit in the gearbox (-arrow 3-).
–  Fit the control cable pin in the gearbox -arrow 3-.

–  Bolt the rear crossmember next to the rear exhaust pipe -arrows- and the rear insulation plate.
–  Fit the front insulation plate.
–  Fit the front exhaust pipe → 4 cylinder injection engine (1.0 litres), mechanics; Rep. Gr.26
–  Bolt the lambda probe if there is one
–  Fit the front crossmember under the exhaust pipe.
–  Tighten the nuts holding the central console to the protection cover.
–  Adjust the gear change actuation device → Chapter.
–  Assemble the handle and the dust cover entirely, fitting them to the stop on the gear lever.

–  Tighten the new clamp on the handle of the gear lever.
–  Fit the dust cover to the console.
Torque
Fitting the protection cover to the bodywork: 25 Nm
