Extract the pin to the synchroniser fork of the 5th gear with a pole -A-.

Mesh the 5th gear on the sliding sleeve -arrow 1-.

Fit the pole -A- in the hole of the selector shaft and set 3rd gear -arrow 2-.

After setting the two gears, the primary and secondary shafts are locked and the synchroniser and pinion are unable to turn.

Using a sharp chisel, withdraw the lock from the nuts -B- and -C- to the primary and secondary shafts. Then unscrew.

Remove the 5th gear by moving the sliding sleeve upwards.

Set the gear selector shaft to neutral.

Remove the fork of the 5th gear together with the sliding sleeve and the synchroniser with the sliding pinion for the 5th gear.

Remove the 5th gear pinion.
–
Remove the left and right outlet shafts using the tool -T20101-.
–
Take out the retainer bolt from the control bar of the 1st to 4th gears together with the reverse light switch.
–
Withdraw the bolts holding the gearbox housing to the clutch housing.
–
Open the safety rings with the pliers -A-81124-, push the primary and secondary shafts down -arrows-, to the stop.

Remove the gearbox housing; if necessary, pry alternately taking care not to damage the joint areas on the edges of the housing.

Remove the control bar of the 5th gear and the reverse gear, moving as shown by the arrows.

Extract the reverse gear pinion upwards together with the shaft.
–
Remove the whole primary shaft.
–
Separate the control bar of 1st to 4th gears together with the secondary shaft of the clutch housing by moving the control bar as indicated by the -arrow-.
