| Engine control unit: replace |
| The engine control unit regulates the injection, throttle valve control unit, Lambda control, ignition, knock control, activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1, engine speed governor via injectors as well as self-diagnosis. |

| Remove the plenum chamber's left cover. |
| –
| Unlock the control unit terminal connector and remove the connector. |
| –
| Remove the entire control unit along with the securing plate. |
| –
| Replace the control unit. |
| The rest of the assembly is basically the reverse of the dismantling sequence To proceed: |

| Match new control unit to the electronic immobiliser → Chapter |
| –
| To finish, consult the fault memory of the new engine control unit and erase the fault memory if necessary. |
