The engine control unit communicates with the ABS control unit via a data bus CAN. |
These control units, designed for data bus, are interconnected by means of two data bus wires twisted round each other (CAN_High and CAN_Low) and interchange information (messages). The lack of information in the data bus is interpreted as a fault by the engine control unit and by the ABS control unit, interconnected via the data bus CAN. |
In order to function without static problems, the data bus CAN needs the control units in front of the bus CAN controller to have a matching resistor of 120 Ω each. These matching resistors are found at the control units of the engine and of the ABS. |
