Removal:
  Note
Before removing the ribbed belt, mark its running direction with chalk or with a felt tipped pen. Running a used belt in the opposite direction could destroy it.
–  Loosen the alternator attachment bolts.

–  Place the turning tool -U-40050- and rotate the alternator in the direction of the -arrow-.
–  Remove poly V-belt.
Installing
–  Press the generator down to the lowest end point at least 3 times using the rotation tool -U-40050- to provide the freedom of movement.
  Note
When fitting the Poly-V belt, ensure that it is fitted with the correct direction of rotation and that it is correctly seated on the pulleys.
–  Press down and turn the generator and place the Poly-V belt onto the crankshaft pulley.
–  Allow the engine to rotate when the generator is still loose (approx. 10 rotations) by briefly operating the starter.
  Note
When tightening the fixing screws of the generator, take care not to lean against the generator or to contact the Poly-V belt.
–  First tighten the bottom screws and then the top screws of the generator to 25 Nm.
