  Note
t  For clarity, the process is described for a removed engine.
t  The sequence of operations is identical with the engine mounted and the gearbox removed.
–  Remove flywheel.
–  Remove intermediate plate.
–  Put the engine in TDC cylinder 1 → Chapter
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
   
–  Remove engine speed sender -G28--arrow- using a commercially available ball head socket.
–  Unscrew the attachment bolts from the sealing flange.
  Note
The sealing flange and the sender wheel are removed from the crankshaft together using three M6 × 35 mm bolts.

–  Screw three bolts M6 x 35 mm into the threaded spaces of the sealing flange-arrows-.
–  Screw in the bolts alternatively (max. 1/2 turn (180 °) per bolt), on the sealing flange and remove it from the crankshaft together with the sender crown.
