Checking sequence
–  Remove the sound proofing from the engine by pulling forcefully upwards -arrows- .
–  Remove the hose to the intercooler from the mouth of the intake sleeve.

–  Detach connection hose -2-.
–  Extract the flexible low pressure tube from the exhaust gas recirculation valve.
–  Connect the manual vacuum pump -SAT 1390- to the valve.
–  Operate the manual pump and observe the membrane rod.

–  The membrane pump rod should move in -the direction of the arrow-.
–  Extract the hose from the manual pump from the exhaust gas recirculation valve.
l  The membrane rod should return to its original position, moving in the opposite direction of the -arrow-.
