Removing and installing turbocharger > < Installing hose connections with connector couplings

  Note
t  All of the hose connections should be well secured
t  The supercharger air system should not leak
t  Renew self-locking nuts.
t  Fill the turbocharger using engine oil, for the connection junction before tightening the oil feed tube.
t  Following the fitting of the turbocharger, start the engine and let it idle for about 1 minute without accelerating. In this way, lubrication of the turbocharger is guaranteed.
   
1 - 10 Nm
2 - Flange
3 - Heat shield
4 - Oil supply pipe, 25 Nm
q   From the oil filter bracket → Chapter
q   Before fitting, fill the turbocharger with engine oil through the connection of the oil feed tube
q   Check that the oil supply pipe is not obstructed before installing
5 - Union nut, 30 Nm
q   Replace
q   Before fitting the oil supply lines fill the coupling with engine oil
6 - Oil seal
q   Replace
7 - Turbocharger
q   Only replace completely with the exhaust manifold
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
8 - Vacuum hose
9 - Seal
q   Replace
q   Note fitting position:
10 - To the particle filter
11 - Clamp, 7 Nm
q   For turbocharger/particle filter
12 - Exhaust manifold
q   Replace only with turbocharger → Chapter
13 - 25 Nm
q   Replace
14 - 25 Nm
15 - Seal
q   Replace
16 - Connecting pipe
q   For exhaust gas recirculation
q   Exhaust gas recirculation radiator Assembly overview → Chapter
17 - 25 Nm
q   Replace
18 - 15 Nm
19 - O ring
q   Replace
20 - Banjo bolt, 60 Nm
21 - Support
q   For turbocharger
q   with oil backflow tube
22 - Exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-, 45 Nm
q   Only grease the thread with paste for high temperature bolts → Parts catalogue
  WARNING
When unscrewing the nuts of the connecting tube on the coupling of the turbocharger, special care should be taken due to the risk of the threaded rods on the turbocharger breaking.
q   For removing and installing the exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-, the particulate filter → Chapter and the connecting tube → Item must be removed.
q   Tighten with the open mouthpiece, 17 -SAT 8010/17A-

q   For air intake hose air filter/turbocharger
q   Air filter: Assembly overview → Chapter
25 - 9 Nm
