t  Refractometer -T10007-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.
t  Hose clamp pliers -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  Collector tray for workshop crane -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
»Carry out the following work sequence«
Removal:
  Note
Always replace gaskets and oil seals.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Remove toothed belt → Chapter.

–  Unscrew securing bolts -1- of coolant pump -2- and carefully remove coolant pump.
Installation
Tightening torques → Chapter
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
  N19-0234
–  Moisten new O-ring -3- with coolant.
–  Insert coolant pump -2- into cylinder block and tighten securing bolts -1-.
  Note
The coolant pump plug faces downwards.
–  Install toothed belt → Chapter.
–  Fit poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Fill up with coolant → Chapter.
