q | O-rings are only to be renewed if necessary. |

2 - | Fuel return lines |
q | To high pressure pump |
q | Fuel return line must not be kinked, damaged or clogged |
q | The fuel return lines must not be dismantled. |
3 - | High-pressure pipes |
q | 28 Nm |
q | Between rail element (high-pressure accumulator) and injectors (solenoid valve injectors). |
q | Do not interchange |
q | Install free of stress |
Note
t | The high-pressure pipes can be re-used after performing the following checks: |
t | Check taper seal of high-pressure line for deformation and cracks. |
t | The bore of the pipe must not be distorted, restricted or otherwise damaged. |
t | Corroded lines should no longer be used. |
4 - | High-pressure fuel pump |
q | removing and fitting → Chapter |
q | With fuel metering valve -N290- (do not open). |
q | After renewing, a first fuel filling must be performed (never allow the pump to run while it is still empty) → Chapter. |
5 - | Bolt. |
q | 20 Nm and then turn 180° further |
6 - | Bolt. |
q | 20 Nm and then turn 45° further |
7 - | Bolts for high-pressure pump toothed belt pulley |
q | Bolts: 20 Nm + turn 90° further. |
8 - | High-pressure pump sprocket |
9 - | Nut |
q | 95 Nm |
10 - | Hub |
q | Use counterhold tool -T10051- to loosen and tighten. |
q | To remove, use puller -T40064-. |
