| Unplug electrical connector -1- on the Lambda probe -G39-. |

| Unscrew Lambda probe -G39--2- using tool from Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-. |
| Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following: |

| New Lambda probes are coated with an assembly paste. The paste must not get into the slots on the probe body. |

| In the case of a used Lambda probe grease only the thread with high-temperature paste. The paste must not get into the slots on the probe body. For high-temperature paste refer to → Electronic parts catalogue |

| When installing, the Lambda probe wiring must always be reattached at the same locations to prevent it from coming into contact with the exhaust pipe. |
