Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Lifting tackle -2024 A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Workshop crane -VAS 6100-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  counterhold -VW 540-, see equivalent → Anchor
Requirements:
l  Gearbox is separated from engine
Operation process
  Note
When work is carried out on the crankshaft or on the sealing flange, the flywheel and the intermediate plate must be dismantled before mounting on the engine and gearbox mounting -VAS 6095-.

–  Secure the engine using the lifting tackle -VW 540- on the engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
