Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-
t  Extractor kit -T20143-
t  Tappet -T20158-
t  Counterhold tool -T20176-

   
t  Centring pin -U 10050-10-
Removal:
  Note
t  For clarity, the process is described for a removed engine.
t  The sequence of instructions is identical with the engine mounted and the gearbox removed.
–  Remove the gearbox → Gearbox: removing and fitting; Rep. gr.34.

–  Apply counterhold -T20176- to slacken bolts of pressure plate.
–  Slightly slacken bolts diagonally at each stage.
–  Remove pressure disk and clutch plate.
  Note
When removing pressure disk, use the appropriate centre guide -U 10050-10-, so that clutch plate does not fall.
  WARNING
When removing pressure disk from engine assembly, take care that clutch plate does not fall. This can cause damage.
–  Unscrew the flywheel bolts and remove it.

–  Extract the seal -1- with the extractor kit -T20143-.
Installing
  Note
The seal should not be removed from the packaging until immediately before fitting.

–  Position the new seal -1- in the installation tool -T20158-.
–  Fit seal as far as it goes in its housing, using the installation tool -T20158- to push in the direction of the -arrow-.
–  Remove the installation tool -T20158-
Continue installation following reverse order for removing.
