Active carbon filter system - Components overview
1 - Breather line
q   Towards the solenoid valve 1 for the active carbon filter (pulsed) -N80- (in engine compartment)
q   Check that it is seated securely
2 - Pressure retention valve with connection hose
q   Check for secure seating.
q   From gravity valve on fuel tank
3 - Breather connection
q   Visible from below
4 - 10 Nm
5 - Throttle valve control mechanism -J338-
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Clean → Chapter.
q   If the throttle valve control part is replaced, the new control part must without fail be adapted to the engine control unit → Chapter.
q   In vehicles fitted with an automatic gearbox, it is also necessary to adapt the gearbox control unit → Chapter
6 - Solenoid valve 1 for active carbon filter (pulsed) -N80-
q   In engine compartment, right
q   Valve closed with ignition switched off.
q   When engine is warm, valve will be activated (pulsed) by engine control unit.
7 - Connector
8 - Active carbon filter
q   Installation location: in front right wheel housing
q   Filled by the gravity valve → Item and the vent valve → Item
q   To remove:
Remove the right back wheel.
Remove the plate of the front right-hand side wheel housing → Remove and fit the front wheel housing; Rep. gr.66.
Remove the line → Item
Remove bolt → Item and detach tank by bottom part
