  WARNING
Fuel system is under pressure! Wear eye protection and gloves to avoid injuries and skin contact. Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully pulling fuel hose from connection.
To prevent injuries to persons and/or damage to the fuel injection and ignition system, the following must be noted:
t  Do not touch or disconnect ignition cables when the engine is running or being turned at starter speed.
t  Always switch off the ignition before disconnecting or reconnecting injection or ignition system wiring or tester cables.
  Caution
When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to the cramped conditions:
All conduits (for example for fuel, hydraulics, carbon filter, liquid cooler and cooling agent, brake fluid, low pressure) and the electric cables must be placed in such a way that they return to their original position.
Ensure that there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.
If in the test drives it is necessary to use the tester units, take note of the following:
t  Test and measuring instruments must always be secured to rear seat and operated by a second person from this location.
If test and measuring instruments are operated from front passenger's seat and the vehicle is involved in an accident, there is a possibility that the person sitting in this seat may receive serious injuries when the airbag is triggered.
t  If the engine is to be turned at starter speed without starting:

–  Remove the 4-pin connectors -arrows- from the ignition transformers.
–  Remove the fuse for the injector units from the fuse holder. Fuse allocation → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
