  WARNING
Fuel system is under pressure! Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully pulling fuel hose from connection. Wear safety goggles and appropriate clothing to avoid injury and contact with skin.
When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to the cramped conditions:
t  All conduits (for example for fuel, hydraulics, carbon filter, liquid cooler and cooling agent, brake fluid, low pressure) and the electric cables must be placed in such a way that they return to their original position.
t  Ensure that there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.
When disconnecting battery, observe safety measures → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
To prevent injuries to persons and/or damage to the fuel injection and ignition system, the following must be noted:

t  For safety reasons the fuse no. 41 must be removed from the fuse holder before opening the fuel system, otherwise the fuel pump is activated by the drivers door contact switch.
t  Do not touch or remove the ignition cables with the engine running or idling.
t  The ignition must be switched off before connecting or disconnecting injection or ignition system wiring or tester cables.
If in the test drives it is necessary to use the tester units, take note of the following:
t  Test and measuring instruments must always be secured to rear seat and operated by a second person from this location. If test and measuring instruments are operated from front passenger seat, there is a possibility that the person sitting in this seat may receive serious injuries when the airbag is triggered.
If the engine is to be turned at starter speed without starting:
