Installing > < Injection pump: removing and installing
Removing
Removing
–  Remove engine guard.
–  Remove air filter hose from manifold or from turbocharger.
Engine codes AGP, AQM
–  Remove upper part of intake manifold → Item.
Engine codes AGR, ALH, ASV
–  Remove connecting hose between intercooler and intake manifold.
Continue for all engine codes
–  Remove upper toothed belt guard and cylinder head cover.
–  Remove servo brake booster vacuum pump.
–  Remove all fuel hoses from pump.
  Note!
Use slotted ring spanner -U-40072- to remove high pressure fuel pipes.
–  Cover openings with a clean cloth.
Engine installed:
   
Turn crankshaft to TDC for cylinder 1.
A - Engines AGP, AQM
B - Engines AGR, ALH, ASV
  Note!
To remove threaded cap from gearbox (section A) use tool -U-20020-.
Engine removed:
  N13-0376
–  Install adjustment device -U-20010- as shown.
–  Calibrate adjustment device -arrow A-, to:
   Engine codes AGP, AQM = 32 mm
   Engine codes AGR, ALH, ASV = 25 mm
The left notch on the nonio is the point of reference.
–  Turn crankshaft until flywheel TDC marking aligns with point of setting device -arrow B-.
Continue for all engine codes

–  Lock camshaft with setting bar.
–  Centralize setting bar as follows:
   Turn camshaft so that one end of setting bar contacts the cylinder head. Using feeler gauge establish the gap at the other end of the setting bar. Place a feeler gauge corresponding to half the gap between setting bar and cylinder head. Turn camshaft until the setting bar contacts the feeler gauge. Place a 2nd feeler gauge, of same thickness, at the other end between setting bar and cylinder head.

–  Remove injection pump sprocket securing bolts -1-.
  Note!
On no account must the nut -2- for the hub be loosened. Otherwise the injection pump basic setting will be altered and this cannot be reset with normal workshop equipment.
–  Remove tensioning roller nut.
–  Relieve tooth belt tension and take off camshaft and injection pump sprockets.
–  Disconnect quantity adjuster connector and unclip connector from retainer.
  A23-0044
–  Remove securing bolts from console -1-.
  A23-0042
–  Then remove bolt from rear support -arrow-.
–  Take off injection pump.
