Montieren > < Camshaft: removal and refitting
Removal
Removal
–  Remove the engine protection
–  Remove the upper element of the intake manifold → Chapter.
–  Remove the upper protector of the toothed belt, the cylinder head cover and the vacuum pump.
   
–  Turn the crankshaft to TDC for cylinder 1.
  Note!
To separate the threaded stopper of the gearbox, apply the tool -U-20020-.

–  Immobilise the camshaft with the adjustment rule -T20038-.

–  Fix the injection pump shaft with the pin -T20102-.
–  Loosen the nut of the tensioner roller.
–  Remove the toothed belt from the pinions corresponding to the camshaft, injection pump and tensioner roller.
–  Loosen the bolt fixing the camshaft pinion one turn.
  Note!
Loosen and tighten the bolt fixing the camshaft with the tool -T20018A-, never use the adjustment rule as a counter-support.

–  Separate the camshaft pinion by applying extractor -T20119-. Use a fixed spanner as a counter-support.
–  Withdraw the camshaft pinion.
–  First remove the caps 5, 1 and 3. Alternately, in a cross form, loosen caps 2 and 4.
