1 - Connection nozzle
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
2 - Selftapping bolt, 9 Nm
3 - O-ring
q   Renew
4 - Coolant thermostat
q   Check functions: heat thermostat in water. The thermo element pin should move out.
q   Checking temperature: Opening commences (approx. 84 °C ) and ends (aprox. 98 °C) cannot be checked
5 - Toward the heat exchanger
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
6 - From expansion tank
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
7 - Thermostat housing
8 - From heat exchanger
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
9 - Rigid pipe
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
10 - O-ring
q   Renew
11 - Coolant pump housing on cylinder block
12 - Securing clip
q   Ensure tight fit
13 - 10 Nm
14 - Coolant temperature sender -G62-
q   For engine control unit
q   If necessary, release the pressure in the cooling system before removing
q   Resistance values for coolant temperature sender → Fig.
q   Checking → VAS 5051; Vehicle self-diagnosis
15 - Cap
q   If necessary, release the pressure in the cooling system before removing
16 - Securing clip
q   Ensure tight fit
17 - Selftapping bolt, 6 Nm
18 - Support
19 - Toward the bottom of radiator
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
20 - From top of radiator
