1 - Radiator
q   Separating and fitting → Chapter.
q   After replacing, renew all coolant
2 - O-ring
q   Replace if damaged or worn
3 - Upper coolant hose
q   Secured to radiator with retaining clip
q   Ensure tight fit
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
4 - Air duct
5 - 10 Nm
6 - Additional fan
q   Only vehicles with optional equipment
7 - Support
q   According to versions
8 - Securing clip
q   Ensure tight fit
9 - Connector
q   According to versions
10 - Radiator fan -V7-
q   Checking → Chapter
11 - To thermostat housing
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
12 - Expansion tank
q   Cooling system leakage: checking with cooling system tester SAT 1274 and adaptors -V.A.G 1274/8- and -V.A.G 1274/9- → Chapter
13 - Cap
q   Pressure relief valve: checking with tester -SAT 1274- and adapter -V.A.G 1274/9- → Chapter
q   Test pressure: 1,4 … 1,6 bar
14 - Support
q   For the fan connectors
15 - Lower coolant hose
q   Secured to radiator with retaining clip
q   Ensure tight fit
q   Coolant hose connection diagram → Chapter
16 - O-ring
q   Replace if damaged or worn
17 - Thermoswitch -F18-, 35 Nm
q   For the radiator fan
q   Switching temperatures:
1a speed
q   Connected: 92 … 97 °C
q   Disconnected: 84 … 91 °C
2a speed
q   Connected: 99 … 105 °C
q   Disconnected: 91 … 98 °C
