t  Auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594A- or -V.A.G 1594C-
t  Current flow diagram
Checking conditions
l  Basic fuses should present no problems
l  Radiator fan thermo switch -F18-, OK.
Test sequence
  W00-0477
–  Remove 3 pin connector from radiator fan thermoswitch -F18-.
–  Bridge contacts -1- and -2- of the connector terminal using auxiliary cables from -V.A.G 1594A- or -V.A.G 1594C-. Radiator fans -V7- and -V35- should begin to run at speed 1.
–  Switch ignition on.
–  Bridge contacts -1- and -3- of the connector terminal using auxiliary cables from -V.A.G 1594A- or -V.A.G 1594C-. Radiator fans -V7- and -V35- should begin to run at speed 2.
If fans do not run at 1st or 2nd speeds:
–  Find and eliminate wiring open circuit according to: → Current flow diagrams. Electrical fault finding and fitting locations
If no wiring fault is detected:
–  Replace radiator fans -V7- or -V35-.
