  Note
To carry out this work it will be necessary to disconnect the battery earth strap. The vehicle should be checked for a fitted radio. If necessary, obtain radio anti-theft code first.
–  With the ignition switched off, disconnect the battery earth strap.
–  Remove the lining from the front bumper → Rep. Gr.63.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove coolant hoses from radiator.
–  Pull connectors off thermoswitch and radiator fan.
   
–  Bring lock carrier into service position → Rep. Gr.50.
Vehicles with air conditioning:
  WARNING
The air conditioning/heating system refrigerant circuit must not be opened.
  Note
To prevent damage to condenser and cooling agent pipes/hoses, ensure that pipes and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.
–  Remove the clips from the cooling agent tubes.
–  Unbolt condenser from radiator and secure to lock carrier.
Continued for all vehicles:
–  Remove radiator duct and the electric fans.
–  Loosen radiator securing bolts and remove radiator together with fan
