For working on the fuel supply/injection system, the “5 rules” for cleaning must be followed with the utmost care: |
t
Carefully clean the joints and their surrounding before loosening them.
t
Put the dismounted parts onto a clean surface and cover them. Do not use cloths that have loose threads!
t
If the repair jobs are not carried out immediately, the components opened up must be covered or stored with the utmost care
t
Assemble only clean components: Take the spare parts out from their packaging just before performing their assembly. Do not assemble components that had been stored without packaging (e.g., in the toolbox, etc.).
t
When the system is open: If possible, avoid using compressed air. If possible, do not move the vehicle.
