Fuel level sender: remove and install > < Removing

Install
–  The supply unit should be installed in reverse order of removal.
  Note!
t  When fitting the fuel supply unit, check that the fuel level indicator sender does not bend.
t  Before installing, wet the flange union ring with fuel.
t  If the fuel supply unit is correctly installed, the fuel level indicator floater points towards the filler hole.
t  Check the fuel hoses for firm seating.
   
t  Check the position of the fuel supply unit flange. The marks on the sender and the fuel deposit should coincide.
t  After installing the fuel supply unit flange, check that the supply, return and deaeration lines are still properly connected to the fuel deposit.
–  Read fault memories of all control units → Diagnostics operations unitVAS 5051.
