Coolant pump: removing and fitting

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Measuring tool -T10007-

t	Tray -T20173-

t	Counterhold -T20174- or plier -T20029-

t	Adaptor -VAG 1274/8-

t	Charger -VAS 6096-

Note

t	Always replace gaskets and oil seals.

t	The lower section of the timing belt guard does not need to be removed.

t	The timing belt should be left in position on the crankshaft wheel.

t	Before removing coolant pump, cover toothed belt with a cloth to protect against coolant.
