Removing
Removing
–  First see if the vehicle has a coded radio. If so, refer to the anti-theft code.
–  With the ignition switched off, disconnect battery earth strap.
  Note
For those vehicles with the BBU - BLZ engine identification letters, to fit the lock carrier plate in service position it will be necessary to remove the bumper bracket and the air conduit tubes from the intercooler → Chapter. Then, refit the bumper support using the upper bolts before positioning the tool T20070.
–  Put the lock carrier plate into service position: → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. Gr.50.
–  Empty coolant → Chapter.
–  Pull coolant hoses off radiator.
–  Pull connector off thermo-switch and radiator fan.
Vehicles with air conditioning:
  Caution
Refrigerant cicuit of air conditioner (heating) must not be opened.
  Note
To avoid damage to the condenser and refrigerant pipes/sleeves, take care not to bend, twist or stretch the pipes/sleeves excessively.
–  Unbolt retaining clamps for refrigerant lines.
–  Unscrew the condenser from its attachment to the radiator and secure it to the brake lock carrier.
All vehicles (continued):
–  Remove radiator ducting and electrofans.
–  Unscrew radiator bolts and take out radiator and fan.
