–  Remove cover from fuse holder.
–  Pull out fuse no. 41 from the fuse carrier.

–  Connect remote control -VAG 1348/3A-with adapter cable -SAT 1348/3-3- to contact 41a to fuel pump and battery positive (+).
  DANGER!
Fuel supply pipes are pressurised. Before detaching the fuel supply pipes, place a cloth around the connection point. Then eliminate the pressure by carefully separating the pipe.

–  Connect fuel supply pipe to pressure tester -VAG 1318-, using adapter -VAG 1318/17-.
  N20-0132
–  Connect adapters -VAG 1318/11- and adapter -VAG 1318/23- to pressure tester and place adapter end in a measuring container.
–  Close pressure gauge cut-off tap (lever at right-angles -B-).
–  Operate remote control at short intervals until a pressure of 3 bar has built up.
  DANGER!
Danger of spray when opening the shut-off tap, hold container over the pressure gauge free connection.
–  If pressure builds up too high, lower excess pressure by carefully opening the shut-off tap.
–  Observe pressure drop on tester. After 10 minutes the pressure must not drop below 2.5 bar.
If the pressure drops further:
–  Check that there are no leaks in the pipe connections.
If no leaks are observed in the pipes:
