Removing and installing dual-mass flywheel > < Removing and installing sealing flange - pulley end

1 - 60 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
q   Replace
2 - Dual-mass flywheel
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Assembly through offset holes only possible in one position.
3 - Generator wheel:
q   For engine speed sender -G28-
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
4 - Engine speed sender -G28-
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
5 - 4.5 Nm
6 - Locking pin
q   2 units
7 - Intermediate plate
q   Must seat on dowel pins.
q   Do not damage or bend when assembling.
q   Engaging on sealing flange → Fig.
8 - Sealing flange (gearbox end)
q   replace → Chapter
q   With sender wheel for engine speed.
q   Renew complete only.
q   Do not additionally oil or grease the oil seal sealing lip.
q   Before fitting, clean the remains of oil on the crankshaft journal using a clean cloth.
q   Use support sleeve supplied when installing.
9 - Bolt.
q   Specified torques and installation sequence → Fig..

   
Installing intermediate plate
–  Engage intermediate plate on sealing flange -top arrow- and push onto dowel sleeves -bottom arrows-.

Sealing flange (gearbox end) - tightening torque and sequence
  A13-0683
–  Renew sealing flange bolts (gearbox end).
–  Tighten the bolts -1 … 6- in 2 stages, as indicated below:
1.  Screw in by hand as far as stop.
2.  Tighten in stages and in diagonal sequence; final torque 15 Nm.
