Removing and installing coolant circulation pump 2 -V178-
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Fitting → Anchor
t  Specified torques → Anchor.
   
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Hose clamp -3094-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Collecting tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Pliers for spring-loaded band-type clamps -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
Removing
–  Unscrew the securing bolts -arrows- and remove the engine soundproofing..

–  Loosen the angled bracket -1- and -2- and remove the right hose from the charged air cooler.

–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Release hose clip -2- and push front air intake pipe towards the right.
  Note
Disregard -item 1, 3-.
  A21-10435
–  Disconnect and remove the coolant hoses using the hose clip -3094-. For this purpose, loosen the clip -2-.
–  Disconnect connector -arrow-.
–  Unscrew the bolts -4- and remove the coolant circulation pump 2 -V178--3-.
  Note
Disregard -item 1-.
Fitting
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
  Note
t  Hose connections and air pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before assembly.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
t  To ensure that the air hoses can be properly secured at their connections, spray rust remover onto the worm thread of used hose clips before installing.
–  Install air pipe at the front.

–  Mount the soundproofing of the engine and insert the securing bolts -arrows-.
–  Check coolant level → Chapter.
