Removing and installing coolant temperature sender -G62- t  Removing → Anchor t  Fitting → Anchor Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Lever -80 200-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor. Removing l  Engine cold –  Briefly open filler cap for coolant expansion tank in order to reduce pressure in cooling system.

–  Remove the engine cover upwards -arrows-.

–  Loosen the spring-type clip -1- and remove the intake hose. –  Unplug the connector -3- at the solenoid valve for charge pressure control -N75-. –  Unscrew the nut -2- of the charge pressure control solenoid valve -N75-. –  Remove all vacuum lines together with the brackets -5- upwards from the air filter. –  Unplug connector -6- from air mass meter -G70-. –  Remove the bolt -4- from the lower part of the air filter.

–  Unscrew the fixing screws -arrows- of the air intake unit -1-and remove the connecting hose -2- to the air filter. –  Remove the air filter housing together with intake line completely.

–  Unscrew the securing bolts -arrows- and remove the engine soundproofing..

–  Remove bolts -arrows-. –  Lay the electric lines and hoses on the left air duct pipe free using the removal lever -80 200-. –  Release hose clip -3- and push air pipe (left-side) with coolant pipe towards the left.   Note Disregard -items 1, 2, 4 and 5-.

–  Disconnect connector -4- from coolant temperature sensor -G62-.   Note Place a cloth underneath connection to catch escaping coolant. –  Pull off retaining clip -3- and pull coolant temperature sender -G62- out of screw connection.   Note Ignore positions -1- and -2-. Fitting Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:   Note t  Replace the O-rings. t  Insert new coolant temperature sender -G62- immediately into connection to avoid loss of coolant. –  Install air pipe (left-side) → Chapter.

–  Mount the soundproofing of the engine and insert the securing bolts -arrows-. –  Install air filter housing → Chapter. –  Check coolant level → Chapter.
