Removing and installing exhauster pump
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Fitting → Anchor
  DANGER!
The vacuum pump may, under no circumstances, be dismantled as the vacuum part could otherwise malfunction. This would result in the failure of the brake servo.
Removing
–  Dismount the air filter housing together with the air mass meter and the connecting pipe → Chapter.
   
–  Disconnect the vacuum lines -1-.
–  Unscrew the fastening bolts of the turbocharger hose → Item , the pipe can be pressed down a little so that the rear screw connection of the vacuum pump can be reached.

–  Unscrew exhauster pump securing bolts -arrows-.
–  Detach vacuum pump -2- from cylinder head.
Fitting
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
  Note
t  Ensure that the connection for the vacuum pump is correctly seated on the camshaft.
t  Renew exhauster pump seal.
–  Install exhauster pump and tighten securing bolts to 10 Nm.
–  Connect brake servo vacuum line to exhauster pump -1-.
