  Caution
Do not kink, twist or crush the vacuum lines when routing. This may cause breakdowns.
   
  Note
t  Blue = vacuum control line for exhaust gas recirculation.
t  Grey = breather line from air filter housing.
t  Green = vacuum control line for turbocharger.
t  Red = vacuum supply line of the vacuum pump
1 - Vacuum unit
q   For changeover for exhaust gas recirculation cooler.
2 - Non-return valve
3 - Exhaust gas recirculation cooler changeover valve -N345-
q   Checking changeover → Chapter.
4 - Rocker finger cover
q   With integrated vacuum vessel
5 - Vacuum unit
q   On turbocharger.
q   With position sender for charge pressure positioner -G581-
6 - Charge pressure control solenoid valve -N75-
7 - Vacuum pump
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
8 - Air filter housing
q   With union for breather line.

   
Vacuum pipes
–  Vacuum hoses can also be removed complete together with bracket -1- from air filter.

–  Separate the plug connection for replacing the charge pressure control solenoid valve -N75-, remove -1 + 2- → Item.
