Removing and installing fuel cooler > < Assembly overview - fuel tank

1 - Fuel line
2 - O-ring
q   Renew
3 - Regulating valve
q   Installation position: arrow points towards fuel tank
q   When changing filter, remove retaining clip and take off regulating valve with fuel hoses still attached.
q   Below + 15 °C: Passage to filter open
q   Over + 31 °C: Passage to filter closed
4 - Securing clip
q   Check for secure seating.
5 - Return line
q   To fuel cooler
q   Clipped onto bulkhead
q   Blue or with blue marking.
q   Check for secure seating.
6 - Supply line
q   From fuel tank.
q   Clipped onto bulkhead
q   White or with white marking.
q   Check for secure seating.
7 - Fuel filter
q   Fill with diesel fuel before installing
q   Direction of flow is marked with arrows.
q   Do not interchange connections.
q   Renew if damaged.
8 - Gasket
q   Renew if damaged.
9 - Water drain screw
q   To bleed remove regulating valve securing clip and remove regulating valve complete with connected fuel lines.
q   Loosen and allow approx. 100 cm3 fluid to drain
10 - Return line
q   From tandem pump → Item
q   Check for secure seating.
q   Blue or with blue marking.
11 - Connection
12 - Fuel temperature sender -G81-
13 - O-ring
q   Renew if damaged.
14 - Supply line
q   Check for secure seating.
q   To tandem pump → Item.
q   White or with white marking.
