1 - Radiator
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
q   After replacing, renew the refrigerant completely.
2 - O ring
q   Replace in case of defects
3 - Upper coolant hose
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter
4 - Filler cap
q   Check using the cooling system tester -SAT 1274- and the adapter for checking cooling systems -V.A.G 1274/9-
q   Test pressure 1.4...1.6 bar
5 - Electrical connector
6 - 5 Nm
7 - Coolant expansion tank
q   Using the cooling system tester -SAT 1274- and the adapter for checking cooling systems -V.A.G 1274/8-, perform the leak test of the cooling system
8 - Air hose
9 - 5 Nm
10 - Fan display unit
11 - 10 Nm
12 - Radiator fan
13 - Retainer
q   For the connection terminal of the fan
14 - Bottom coolant hose
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter
15 - Radiator fan thermo-switch -F18-
q   35 Nm
q   For electric fans
q   Switching temperatures:
–  1ª Gear: switches on: 92...97 °C, Switches off: 84...91 °C
–  2ª Gear: switches on: 99..0.105 ?, Switches off: 91..0,98 ?
16 - Bottom bearing of the fan
q   Black
17 - 5 Nm
18 - Upper bearing of the fan
q   White
