Pulley: Removing and installing t  Removing → Anchor t  Installing → Anchor t  Tightening torques → Anchor Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.

t  Torque wrench -VAG 1332-, see equivalent → Anchor. Removing

–  Disconnect activated charcoal reservoir solenoid valve 1 -N80--1- from air duct. –  Remove bolts -arrows-. –  Remove air duct -2-.   Note

Before removing the Poly-V belt, mark the direction of rotation using chalk or a marker. If the belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage. –  Release tensions on poly V belt by turning tensioning element in direction indicated by -Arrow-. –  Take off poly V-belt. –  Remove pulley from crankshaft.   Note To loosen and tighten the crankshaft pulley, lock with ring spanner on centre bolt.

Installing –  Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:   Note Fitting can only be completed in one position only: The borehole -arrow- in the pulley must be positioned above the raised section of the toothed belt sprocket. Tightening torques
