| When the engine is hot the cooling system is under pressure. |
| To reduce the system charge pressure, cover the expansion tank plug with a rag and open carefully. |

WARNING | Risk of injury due to automatic starting of the radiator fan! |
| Before working on the fan, unplug the connectors! |

| When the engine is hot the cooling system is under pressure. If necessary, relieve pressure before commencing repair work. |

| Secure all hose connections with the correct hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue. |

| Spring-type clip pliers -VAS 6499- or hose clip pliers -VAS 6340- are recommended for installation of spring-type clips. |

| Renew gaskets and seals. |

| The arrow markings on the coolant pipes and on the ends of the hoses must be aligned with each other. |
