General notes
  WARNING
Hot coolant and vapours can cause burns!
When the engine is hot the cooling system is under pressure.
To reduce the system charge pressure, cover the expansion tank plug with a rag and open carefully.
  WARNING
Risk of injury due to automatic starting of the radiator fan!
Before working on the fan, unplug the connectors!
  Note
t  When the engine is hot the cooling system is under pressure. If necessary, relieve pressure before commencing repair work.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
t  Spring-type clip pliers -VAS 6499- or hose clip pliers -VAS 6340- are recommended for installation of spring-type clips.
t  Renew gaskets and seals.
t  The arrow markings on the coolant pipes and on the ends of the hoses must be aligned with each other.
