Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Universal dial gauge support -VW 387-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Dial gauge
   
–  Insert new valve into guide. The end of the valve stem must be flush with the guide. Due to the different diameters of the stems, fit the inlet valves and the exhaust valves only in the corresponding guides.
–  Determine rock. Wear limit: max. 1.3 mm
–  Cylinder head must be renewed if rock exceeds wear limit.
