t  Hose clamp -T10255-, see equivalent → Anchor
Procedure
  Caution
If the bolt of the idle drive has been slackened or if the drive pinion has been replaced on the crankshaft or the crankshaft has been removed, a new idle drive with coating must be fitted and the hub → Item with bolt → Item must be replaced as well as the axial support disc otherwise the backlash will not be correct. Procedure when installing → Chapter.
  Note
t  If re-installing the "old" balance shaft assembly and neither the drive gear on the crankshaft nor the crankshaft itself have been renewed, proceed as described in the following. The intermediate gear wheel must also not have been loosened.
t  If the bolt for the idler gear has been slackened or the drive gear on the crankshaft or the crankshaft itself have been renewed, you must install a new idler gear with the appropriate coating. Procedure when installing → Chapter „Fitting a new balance shaft assembly“.
