Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Puller -3359-, see equivalent → Anchor
Operation process
–  Remove vibration damper → Chapter.
  Caution
Risk of destruction due to toothed belt jumping.
Only turn crankshaft in engine direction of rotation.
–  Rotate crankshaft by turning bolt on crankshaft sprocket until camshaft sprocket is positioned at „TDC“.

–  Arrest cam shaft hub with counter holder -3359-.
l  The toothed segment -arrow- should point upwards.
  Note
Item -1- can be disregarded.
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
Balance shaft assembly with 8 bolting points
  N15-0275
–  Unscrew the bolts in the -8 ... 1 - sequence and remove the balance shaft assembly with the oil pump.

Balance shaft assembly with 6 bolting points
–  Unscrew the bolts in the -6 ... 1 - sequence and remove the balance shaft assembly with the oil pump.
