1 - 10 Nm
2 - Upper protection element for the notched belt
3 - 65 Nm
q   Use counterhold -3036- to loosen and tighten → Fig.
4 - Cogwheel for timing belt
q   Remove notched belt to remove and install → Chapter
q   Installation position is fixed with a woodruff key → Item
q   Detach timing gear → Fig.
5 - 10 Nm
q   Apply locking fluid when fitting
6 - Rear notched belt guard
7 - Woodruff key
q   Check firm seating
8 - 25 Nm
9 - Semi-automatic tensioning roller
10 - Coolant pump
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
11 - O ring
q   Replace
12 - 25 Nm
13 - Stabiliser roller
14 - 15 Nm
15 - 35 Nm
16 - Stabiliser roller
17 - Sealing flange
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
18 - Diamond disk
q   Replace
19 - Crankshaft cogwheel
q   There must be no oil on the contact surface between the toothed belt and the crankshaft
q   Can only be fitted in one position
20 - 90 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn)
q   Replace
q   Do not use oil
q   Use counterhold -3415- to loosen and tighten → Fig.
21 - Notched belt
q   Mark direction of rotation with chalk or felt pen before removing
q   Check for wear
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
22 - Notched belt guard - lower part
23 - Securing bolt
q   For the lower notched belt guard
q   7 off
q   8 Nm

   
Release timing gear
–  To loosen and tighten the centre bolt use counter-hold -3036-.

Remove the cogwheel from the camshaft.
–  Remove the cogwheel by using the puller -T40001-, the claw-T40001/6- and -T40001/7-.

Sprocket for the notched belt of the crankshaft: Removing and installing
–  To loosen and tighten the centre bolt use counter-hold -3415-.
