Crankshaft oil seal, pulley side: replacing > < Part III

Clutch repairs: → Rep. Gr.30.
1 - 90 Nm +1/4 turn (90º)
q   Replace
q   Use counterhold -T20018B- to loosen and tighten
q   Thread and collar must be free of oil and grease.
2 - Timing belt-crankshaft sprocket
q   There must be no oil on the contact surface between the toothed belt and the crankshaft
3 - 15 Nm
4 - Oil seal
q   Renew → Chapter
q   Do not use oil
5 - Sealing flange
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Fit with silicon-based sealant -D 176 404 A2- → Chapter
6 - Engine block
q   Crankshaft: removing and installing → Chapter
q   Piston and piston rod: removing and installing → Chapter
7 - 60 Nm +1/4 turn (90º)
q   Replace
q   Use the extractor -T20076- to loosen and tighten
8 - Engine flywheel
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
9 - Intermediate plate
q   Do not bend or damage during fitting work
q   Installation position → Fig.
10 - Sealing flange with sealing ring
q   Always replace assembly
q   Do not use oil
q   Make sure the oil seal lip is not damaged or bent on fitting
q   To fit, insert the guide sleeve (supplied with the seal) on the crankshaft
q   The oil sump must be removed when stripping and fitting → Chapter

   
Fitting the intermediate plate
–  Fit the intermediate plate onto the sealing flange and slide onto the dowel sleeves-arrows-.
