  W00-1091
–  Remove securing bolts -arrows- from bracket for charge air system air pipe from sump.
–  Unbolt drive shaft at gearbox flange.
–  Raise right drive shaft and secure it.
–  Remove toothed belt guard upper part.
–  Mark direction of rotation of toothed belt.
  N17-0150
–  Set camshaft toothed belt pulley to TDC No. 1 cylinder by turning crankshaft. Marking on camshaft toothed belt pulley must align with mark on cylinder head cover.
  A15-0024
–  Remove belt pulley vibration damper.
–  Remove both outer bolts of battery tray.
  A13-0009
–  Position support bracket -10 - 222 A- together with adapter -10 - 222 A /14- and adapter -10 - 222 A /15- as shown.
  N15-0420
–  Bolt adapter -10 - 222 A /14- to battery bracket with M8×35 bolts -arrows-. Torque setting: 25 Nm.
  N15-0421
–  Insert shackle -10 - 222 A /12- into lifting eye on right of cylinder head.
–  Insert fastening hooks of support bracket -10 - 222 A- at shackle -10 - 222 A /12- and pre-tension engine slightly.

–  Remove toothed belt.
–  Turn crankshaft back slightly.
Installing
A - Toothed belt completely removed → Anchor
B - Toothed belt has only been removed from camshaft sprocket → Anchor
  Note
When camshaft is turned, crankshaft must not be at TDC. Danger of damage to valves and piston crowns.
A - Toothed belt completely removed
If toothed belt has only been removed from camshaft sprocket → Anchor.
Prerequisite
l  The pistons must not be positioned at TDC.
Procedure
  N15-0407
–  Line up mark on camshaft pulley with mark on cylinder head cover.
–  Place toothed belt on crankshaft toothed belt pulley and coolant pump (observe direction of rotation).
  A15-0024
–  Raise engine as far as possible via spindles -1- and -2- of support bracket -10 - 222 A- and screw in upper bolts for engine mounting. Then lower engine as far as possible and screw in lower bolt for engine mounting.
  E34-10095
–  Install vibration damper/belt pulley (can only be installed in one position). Torque setting: 25 Nm.
–  Install centre and lower toothed belt guard. (Insert securing bolts with locking fluid -D 000 600 A2-). Torque setting: 10 Nm.
  A13-0009
–  Turn crankshaft to TDC No. 1 cylinder.
–  Install pendulum support → Rep. Gr.40
  A13-0076
–  Attach air pipe bracket to sump. Torque setting: 20 Nm.
–  Position toothed belt on camshaft sprocket and tension → Anchor.
