t  Counterhold -2024A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Workshop crane -VAS 6100-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Engine and gearbox jack -VAS 6095-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  Counterhold -VW 540-, see equivalent → Anchor
Premise
l  Gearbox is separated from engine
Operation process
  W00-0247
–  Attach the lifting tackle -VAS 2024A- as described in the following, and remove the engine from the retention tool -T20205- using the workshop crane.
Pulley side: 1. Borehole on the support bar in position 1
Flywheel side: 4. Borehole on the support bar in position 8
  WARNING
Use safety pins on the hooks and bolts.
  Note
t  To align the assembly centre bring the lifting tackle -2024A- to the anchorage points as shown in the figure.
t  The positions numbered 1 – 4 of the hoisting bar face the pulley.
t  The holes in the perforated flanges are counted starting from the hook.

–  Secure the engine using the lifting tackle -VW 540- on the engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
