  Note!
Before carrying out assembly work, oil should be applied to the support and slide surfaces.
1 - Half bearings 1, 2, 4 and 5
q   Never interchange these
q   Half bearing 4 with lubrication groove
2 - 65 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°)
q   Replacement
q   To carry out the measure of radial play, tighten to torque but do not tighten further
3 - Bearing caps
q   Bearing cap 1: Pulley side
q   Bearing cap 3 with rebates for the friction washers
q   Cylinder block bearing shell rims and bearing cap must coincide
4 - Bearing cap 3
q   For bearing cap without oil groove
q   For cylinder block with oil groove
5 - Thrust washer
q   For bearing cap 3
q   Note the fitting position
6 - Generator star
q   For other engine identification letters
7 - 10 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°)
q   For other engine identification letters
8 - Adjustment pin
q   For other engine identification letters
9 - Crankshaft
q   Axial play, new: 0.07 … 0.17 mm. Wear limit: 0.37 mm
q   Check radial clearance with Plastigage. New: 0.03 … 0.08 mm. Wear limit: 0.17 mm
q   Do not rotate the crankshaft when checking the radial clearance
q   Crankshaft dimensions → Chapter
