–  Remove engine cover in the -direction of the arrow-.
  Note!
Always renew seals and gaskets.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter
  E10-0107
–  Pull coolant hose off connector -2-.
–  Unbolt securing bolts -1- from connecting flange -2- and remove connecting flange -2- with coolant thermostat-4-.
–  Turn coolant thermostat -4- 1/4 of a turn (90°) to the left and remove from the connector -2- .
