Coolant temperature sender at the radiator outletG83: Removing and installing.
Coolant temperature sender at the radiator outlet -G83-: Removing and installing.
   
Removal:
l  Engine cold.
–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  WARNING
Hot steam/hot coolant can escape - risk of scalding.
The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is hot.
Cover filler cap on expansion tank with a cloth and open carefully to dissipate pressure.
–  Momentarily open cap on coolant expansion reservoir to relieve pressure in coolant system and then close cover until it arrests.

–  Remove the connection -2- and unscrew the coolant temperature sender at the radiator outlet -G83--1-.
  Note
Place a cloth below to catch escaping coolant.
Installation
Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Coolant lines, coolant temperature senders, coolant circulation pump: Assembly overview“
  Note
t  Renew O-rings.
t  To prevent the coolant from flowing out, screw coolant temperature sensor on cooler exit -G83- directly to threaded hole.
–  Check coolant level → Anchor.
