Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Guide sleeve -T10056-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
–  Remove the injector pump → Chapter
–  Remove very carefully, the used O-rings from the injector pump assembly.
–  Ensure that there is no trimming of the O-ring allotments.
Installing
  Note
t  Always use the sleeves to fit the O-rings. If they are not used, damage may occur to the O-rings.
t  Sliding insert from O-rings without colour code. Insert the O-rings into the corresponding groove in the correct sequence. The thickness of the rings diminishes going towards the injector.
t  Try to fit the O-rings in their allotments in the injection pump so that they are not twisted.
–  Detach heat insulation seal together with circlip.
–  Clean carefully, the contact surfaces of the O-rings in the injection pump.

–  Fit the installation sleeve -T10056- to the limit on the injector pump unit.
–  Slide very carefully, the upper O-ring (the thickest ring) onto the sleeve and move it into the allotment of the injection pump unit.
–  Remove assembly sleeve.

–  Fit the installation sleeve -T10056/2- to the limit on the injector pump unit.
–  Slide very carefully, the upper O-ring (thinner ring) onto the sleeve and move it into the allotment of the injector pump unit.
–  Remove assembly sleeve.

–  Fit the installation sleeve -T10056/3- to the limit on the injector pump unit.
–  Slide carefully, the lower O-ring onto the fitting sleeve and then into its allotment on the injection pump.
–  Remove assembly sleeve.
–  Fit a new heat proof joint along with the securing washer.
