| Remove glow plug from relevant cylinder using socket -3220- → Chapter. |

| Screw in adapter -V.A.G 1763/8- in place of glow plug. |

| Check compression using compression tester -V.A.G 1763-. |

| Turn over engine until tester shows no further pressure increase. |
| Max. deviation allowed between both cylinders: 5 bar. |
| –
| Install glow plug using socket -3220- → Chapter. |
| –
| Interrogate the fault memory of the engine control unit → Chapter |
Note | Faults will have been stored because the connectors for injectors have been disconnected. For this, check the fault memory and, if necessary, clear it. |
